Prison photography in Noorderlicht

As from 18 February, an exhibition about the prison system, ‘Cruel and Unusual’, is on display.
Works by various photographers highlight different aspects of the prison system; social justice, crime and punishment and the limits of freedom.
The exhibition is a project by guest curators Hester Keijser and Pete Brook, with photography by Alyse Emdur, Amy Elkins, Christiane Feser, Natalie Mohadjer, Deborah Luster, Yana Payusova, and others.
The exhibition is on display until 1 April.
