Up to and including 6 May, the Groningen Museum features the ‘Azzedine Alaïa in de 21e eeuw’ (Azzedine Alaïa in the 21st century) exhibition with the most fabulous fashion creations of this Tunisian-born fashion designer.
One of the most important fashion designers of the last decades, his name stands for glamour, sensuality, style, fit, self-confidence, comfort and of course sex appeal. His clothing is admired by various celebrities such as Naomi Campbell, Stephanie Seymour, Victoria Beckham, Shakira and Michelle Obama.
During the exhibition period, the Groningen Museum will hold various guided tours on Azzedine Alaïa in the 21st century without any prior booking required. The exhibition is a sequel to the 1998 overview exhibition of his work in the Groningen Museum, which in 2000 was displayed at the Brant Foundation, Guggenheim Soho in New York.
Studio Job
The exhibition about the Studio Job art and designer’s collective in the Groningen Museum will be on display for another couple of weeks, so there is plenty of reason to visit the museum this month.
