From 26 June to 30 June, the village of Warffum will celebrate ‘Op Roakeldais’, the special dance festival.
‘Op Roakeldais’ is a folkloric dance festival full of movement, colour, sound and passion.
Georgian machos and stern Balkan dancers show off their dancing skills. Many international dance companies will give demonstrations, workshops and shows.
The dance festival, which was first held in 1996, has grown over the years into a true cultural festival. One or more performances are held every day in the dedicated 'Op Roakeldais hall' and on the site around the hall, there are all sorts of things to do, to see and to taste.
