The Westerwolde Wandelweekend (Westerwold Walking Weekend) is held on 22 and 23 June. It is possible to walk through and along some of the most attractive stream valleys of Europe: the Ruiten Aa and the Westerwoldse Aa. The theme of this weekend is ‘Kunst en verhalen’ (Art and stories).
The organisation promises that you will see beautiful countryside, magnificent stream valleys, surprising landscapes, charming villages and historic buildings where you journey in a few kilometres from the ice age to the present.
