See comic strip heroes in the Stripmuseum, view the almost 100-metres high Martini tower, or view art in the Groningen Museum or Museum of Natural History. Go skating or climb steep walls: there is something for children in every age category. Search for an adventure that suits your children.
Het Nederlands Stripmuseum (The Dutch Comic strip Museum)
Het Nederlands Stripmuseum is the newest museum in Groningen. See comic strip heroes such as Suske en Wiske, Jan, Jans en de kinderen, Dirkjan, and many more. The museum has been divided into special halls for children, adults, and connoisseurs. In addition to an extensive collection of old and new comic strips, there are regular changing exhibitions. Wegafarm (Pet Farm)
This farm has about 100 milch goats and other animals. There is an extensive playing field where animals and children can run around together and play. Children learn about keeping animals for the production of dairy products such as goat’s cheese, goat’s milk, yoghurt, and ice cream in a playful manner. A considerable part of the building is used as a goat farm, in which about 100 goats are kept in an animal-friendly manner. Visitors go through several swing doors to enter the sheds and view the animals from up close and stroke them. People can also see how the animals are fed and milked.
Open: daily from 10.30 am until 5.30 pm. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays (except holidays).
