A youthful city such as Groningen has ample opportunity for entertainment, with no less than 160 pubs and discothèques, and dozens of outdoor cafés in the city centre. The city is also bustling with theatre activities. At any day or time Groningen has always something for you to see, hear, or do.
Cinemas and casino
The city of Groningen has two large cinemas for large audience films, as well as an “art house cinema”. You can also try your luck in one of twelve Holland Casino establishments, the only legal casinos in the Netherlands.
Music cafes and discotheques
Take a drink in a music café and see one of the hundreds of bands in the city or go dancing in one of the discothèques.
