Nearly every day there is a market in Groningen’s city centre: flowers, curiosa or clothing markets, anything and everything is there.

Grote Markt & Vismarkt

Tuesday from 9 am until 5 pm: fruit and vegetables, flowers, fabrics, fish, and general goods on the Grote Markt and the Vismarkt. Flowers and plants on the north side of the A-kerkhof.

Friday from 9 am until 5 pm: fruit and vegetables, flowers, fabrics, fish and general goods on the de Grote Markt and the Vismarkt. Flowers and plants on the north side of the A-kerkhof.

Saturday from 9 am until 5 pm: fruit and vegetables, flowers, fabrics, fish, and general goods on the Grote Markt and the Vismarkt. Flowers and plants on the north side of the A-kerkhof.

Goods market on the Grote Markt on Sunday takes place between 1-7 pm.

Bazaar Nas & Mazzel

Mediterranean delicacies, decorative glass, and vases, Moroccan party clothing, and Israeli accessories; this is merely a small number of what’s available at Nas & Mazzel, the first covered bazaar in the north of the Netherlands. Nas & Mazzel has over forty shops, a large covered market, a shop specialising in recycled goods, a brasserie, and an outdoor café. Admission is free.

Open: Monday from 1–6 pm, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10 am until 6 pm, Thursday from 10 am until 9 pm, and Saturday from 10 amuntil5 pm.
