The Nescio, now over 100 years old (date of construction 1914), started as a regular line service after World War II. In 1940, it was converted into a North Sea cutter (SCH112), and in the 1960s into the Harlingen shrimp boat. Following that, an Amsterdam citizen redesigned it as a sailing houseboat to sail the Baltic Sea. After a renovation in 2006, the ship was adapted to suit for excursions on the Wadden Sea, the Lauwersmeer lake and the Reitdiep.
