Pura Vida

Simmer down by the Oldambtmeer in Blauwestad and be entranced and moved by one of the best concerts of the year. Once a year in August, the Noord Nederlands Orkest (NNO; North Netherlands symphony orchestra) plays the Pura Vida open-air concert, which is free for everyone to enjoy.

The Pura Vida programme changes every year. All we can say now is that the North Netherlands symphony orchestra will be playing a combination of classical and pop music. The huge stage at the Oldambtmeer lake is a stunning backdrop. In particular when you see the sun set behind the orchestra at the end of the evening. Any music fan must experience this concert once in their lifetime.

Pura Vida does not feature red plush chairs. Instead, folding chairs are available for hire for those who wish to use them. Alternatively, bring your picnic blanket. Have some wine and enjoy the day's last sun rays while listening to the most adventurous orchestra in the Netherlands.
